Superheroes & Zombies

A bit on topic with my first blog post, I went to the movies alone today to watch Fantastic Four: The First Steps. This has been my "thing" for the last two months almost. Ever since Thunderbolts came out, my Marvel spark has returned. I started rewatching the Marvel movies in order, and I plan to get into the comics.

I hadn't watched the original Fantastic Four movies... But I did earlier this month, and I really loved them. Some people said they weren't done well and had negative things to say about it, but I actually really enjoyed both movies. The second one caused me so much anxiety lol. So, while watching The First Steps, I was wondering what would change. I had heard theories, and after seeing the end credit scene for Thunderbolts, I thought that they weren't going to save the planet. Best believe I was surprised to see them win, and Franklin being the one to bring Sue back. I was SOBBING. I knew she was going to come back, but I didn't know how, since the Silver Surfer was gone. Then Franklin started crying and reaching for his mom and I just couldn't not cry.

I am very very excited to see what Doom is planning with Franklin. When I saw that end credit scene I nearly jumped out of my seat lol. I'm wondering if the end scene in Thunderbolts was this Fantastic Four team coming to warn them about Dr Doom. We see Reed talking about different universes and traveling to them, so maybe another idea is that they are testing traveling between universes? But I feel like I'm leaning towards it being the former.

I really did like the new cast. Of course, especially after recently watching it, I have a deep appreciation for the 2005 cast. I feel like Loan Gruffudd was the PERFECT choice for Reed. He just does awkward, nerdy, and charming so well. I think Pedro did well as Reed, and I can't wait to see them again in Doomsday.

Now, let's bring this around to my other hyper-fixation of the month. Zombies. The movie series from Disney. So random, and insane, especially because I haven't even watched the movie yet, I haven't watch 2 or 3 actually. I watched Zombies 1 with a friend when it came out, and we were obsessed. Someday was on repeat, and we has learned the dance too. And we have been Milo lovers since day 1 soooo.

Anyway, Zombies 4 recently came out, and it was popping up on my social media, so of course after interacting with it, it was everywhere. I was like, fine I'll watch it. I think I'll skip right to 4, and watch 2 and 3 at a later time. 4 just looks so cute and good, and I know I'll really enjoy it. I keep seeing scenes with the two new leads, the daylight and night guy...? I have no idea, but they're adorable and just like Zed and Addison.

I am ready to be obsessed with the songs and learn new choreos lol. And one thing about Disney movies... especially now, is that they are corny and can be cringe at times. But that's what makes them so loveable :) Once I watch it, I will come back with an update, hopefully by the end of this weekend!
