The Coming of Autumn

I know it's only August, and fall isn't until the 22nd of September, but I cannot help but get extremely excited for it. It's the best season, my favorite season. It kind of sucks living in a state where we don't really have fall, or any other season really, but I like to imagine. The candles, the decorations, scary movies, the stories, all cause me to have a cozy feeling.

I think I love fall so much because it gives me such a deep sense of nostalgia. I feel as if I have had the best times of my life during the end of the year, and I am a sucker for nostalgia, it almost makes me sick (in a good way).

A few years ago, I met some good friends and we were hanging out all the time, seeing movies, going shopping, and going out to eat. It began in November, and into the following year, but now we don't really talk. Despite that, I hold those memories close to my heart, and of course most of those memories were made during the fall.

I'm going to write a checklist/bucket list for this autumn. I'll do things I usually don't that I've been wanting to, like painting pumpkins, or something I have done before like going to see a scary movie or dressing up for Halloween.

There are also so many things I am looking forward to. I'm going on a trip to New York in October, and I am so excited! I've been wanting to go since I was little, and now I finally have the chance. I've planned my outfits, and have a general idea of what I want to do there, but I need to seriously make a list. It's right around the corner, I can't wait. I'm also super excited for my Halloween costume. I'm going to be Wanda, or, The Scarlet Witch. I really want to go all out this year.

As summer comes to an end, we will be greeted with the cold change. This is the time that things are dying, passing on, but I do believe something new and better will come along. I hope everyone enjoys their fall, whether it feels like summer or actual fall.
